HISTORICAL CONSIDERATIONS on the VIRGIN BIRTH - July 2009
Download this episode (61 min)
A common argument among skeptics today is that the Virgin Birth of Christ was borrowed/influenced by the Mystery Religions and other pagan beliefs. In this "comeback episode" of Backpack Radio, Vocab looks at this claim in some detail.
Please be notified this was our first show in 7 months, so Vocab is a little rusty, as it were. Also, we are not broadcasting on live radio anymore, so this installment is strictly available via podcast - free, of course.
Our intent is to continue Backpack Radio online for now and to do an hour-long show every month. Next month's podcast will deal with the big questions in the abortion debate. Special thanks goes out to our new engineer, Luis Bermudes aka Vessel.

Sunday, Dec 07, 2008THEOLOGICAL ASPECTS of the INCARNATION of CHRIST - 12/07/08
Download this episode (58 min)
Backpack Radio host Vocab Malone is joined by special guest Pastor Rick of Western Bible College as well as Omri Miles and Jordan Jacques of Backpack Truth.
In light of the Advent season, we discuss many of the theological aspects of the incarnation of Jesus Christ "on Christmas Day" (this does not mean we think Jesus was actually born on December 25th but rather we are referring to the day that He was born, whatever actual day that may have been).
Listen in and learn more about God's greatest gift to humanity - Himself! [episode #14]

Tommyboy and Vocab record a new installment of the BACKPACK RADIO: The topic is CHRISTIANS AND GOVERNMENT: A PROPER PERSPECTIVE.
In light of the election on Tuesday, we will be discussing the Biblical view on politics. This will not be a "vote for so-and-so because we hate the other candidate" show but rather a survey of Scripture in this important sphere of life.
This show also features a few comments by our homie, "John the Engineer".

Friday, Oct 03, 2008Vocab & Omri Have a Real-Life Talk with Some Arizona Atheists [09.21.08]
Download this episode (118 min)
On the night of Sunday, September 21st, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona, Vocab and Backpack Truth affiliate Omri Miles had a 2-hour conversation with Shannon M. Singleton (organizer of The Phoenix Atheists Meetup Group) and Brad (host of "ApostAZ.org", an atheistic Podcast) on belief or non-belief in God and the philosophical implications of that.
As I listened to the show, there are times where I talked too long or too much and I feel bad for that. The negative effects were "amplified" because my microphone volume was louder than everyone else's ... I think I talked to close to the mic as well. I am still learning how to do this. Please bear with me, as I hope to get better in every manner as I do this type of thing.
Either way, please listen to the audio and tell us what you think of this conversation ...
